2D materials and 2D-3D interfaces for Thermoelectric, Solar cell, Photo-electrochemical and Gas Sensor devices. Large scale, continuous and size-selected growth of metal, semiconductor, alloy and core-shell nanoparticles for specialized applications. Scanning Kelvin probe, Conducting Atomic Force and Thermal Microscopy for investigations of 2D-3D and semiconductor- electrolyte interfaces.

About Prof. B.R.Mehta

Bodh Raj Mehta is currently Dean (Research & Development) and Schlumberger Chair Professor at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, India. He did his M.Sc. in Physics from Punjabi University Patiala, M. Tech in Solid State Materials and Ph. D in Physics from IIT Delhi. He has worked as visiting scientist and professor at University of British Columbia, Canada; University of Saarbrucken, Germany; and University of Duisburg, Germany. His areas of interest includes 2D materials and 2D-3D interfaces for Thermoelectric, Solar cell, Photo-electrochemical and Gas Sensors devices. Large scales and continuous size-selected growth of metal, semiconductor, alloy and core-shell nanoparticles for specialized applications. Scanning Kevin probe, Conducting Atomic Force and Thermal Microscopy for investigations of 2D-3D and semiconductor- electrolyte interfaces. He is the recipient of MRSI Medal (Material Research Society of India, 2002), DAAD Fellowship (2000), Marie Curie International Fellowship (European Commission, 2006) and Material Science Society (India) Annual Prize (2017). He is on the Editorial Board of Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and has about 206 journal publications and has supervised about 33 PhD students. One of his projects Nano-Switch has been selected by European Commission as a Success Story project.
