Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexed (DWDM) components for optical communication like Fiber Bragg Gratings, FBT fiber couplers, Dispersion Compensating Fibers and also on optical fiber sensors.

About Prof. B.P.Pal

Prof. Pal's broad area of research is Photonics with focus on Fiber and Integrated Optics. He has extensively lectured on his research all over the world especially as IEEE's Laser and Electro-optics Society (LEOS) Distinguished Lecturer for two years (2005-07). He has extensively experience on sponsored research in these areas and international collaborations projects with USA, UK, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, and Russian Academy of Science. Prof. Pal is a co-recipient of the very first (1997) "Fiber Optic Person of the Year Award" (instituted by Lucent Technology in India and Vice & Data magazine) and is a foreign member by invitation of the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters (founded in 1760 in Norway). He is a member of the editorial boards of various peer reviewed research journals published from abroad. Prof. Pal is a member of Optical Society of America’s (OSA) International Council and is also a member of the Long Term Planning Group (LTPG) of OSA publications.
