About Sunil Kumar

Sunil Kumar joined the Physics Department in May 2015 as an Assistant Professor. Previously, he was Dean of Faculty Fellow and Feinberg Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Physics of Complex Systems, Weizmann Institute of Science, IL from 2012 to 2015. Dr. Kumar obtained his MSc in Physics from IIT Delhi and PhD in experimental condensed matter physics from Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. Dr. Kumar teaches physics courses to the undergraduate and graduate students at IIT Delhi. His research interests are in the areas of femtosecond optics, lasers and spectroscopy, plasmonics, nanosystems and correlated solids, nonlinear optical microscopy and imaging techniques.
